Tiger

It is finally finished! My great adventure into double knitting. I have worked on this almost exclusively since November. There was a little time away to work on some Christmas knitting, and another pair of socks... It is the equivalent of about 8 or 9 socks.
And the Back:
And here is the tiger I made it for:

Crazy

I have gone a little crazy with my latest project. It is called Insomnia by Kalinumba My daughter had a tiger costume for her band season this year. When I went looking for something tiger related to knit for her I found this. It was spectacular! I had never used double knitting before but it was not too hard to learn. It just takes concentration to do. Here is what I have finished so far.

Christmas Tidings

I have been very busy the last few months. I went back to work, which has slowed down my knitting considerably. I did manage to get a few things done for Christmas.

The Hex Socks by Cookie A for my MIL. Knit out of Hazel Knits Artisan yarn in Impluse.

Chevalier Mittens for my Daughter. Knit out of Hazel Knits Artisan yarn in Lilypad.

A sweater vest for my Son. Knit out of Encore yarn.

A shawl for my sister. The pattern is my own. It is made out of Hazel Knits Artisan in Meadow.

A shawl for my Mother. The pattern is called Arroyo and it is made from Malabrigo Silky Merino.

With Fingerless Gloves to match. The pattern is called Welted Fingerless Gloves by Churchmouse Yarns and Teas.

Remember this is like 6 months worth of knitting. So it is not as ambitious as it looks.

Summer Hazel

I received some lovely yarns this summer from Hazel Knits.

The June shipment was inspired by the sea.

The August shipment was inspired by the farm. And it included one of my patterns, Haystacks.

Summer musings

I am so glad summer is over. The kids are back at school and life returns to some kind of normal.

I did get some wonderful yarns this summer. First off was the June shipments from Cookie A, "Oh My Darling" from Hazel Knits

and Janel Laidman, Madelinetosh.

Then there were the August shipments from them too.
Metamorphosis in Sugar Jets from A Verb For Keeping Warm was the Cookie A treat.

And Socktopus, Sokkusu in A slice of Orange.

There is also my shipments from Hazel knit club. I still have to take those pictures. I will share later this week.
